The Hastings Pirates are an amateur baseball team, based in East Sussex.

The team was founded in 2017 as South Coast Baseball – fielding squads under the South Coast Pirates, and Seadogs names, and achieving regional and national wins in the BBF Single A baseball league soon after.

At the end of the 2023 season the team was renamed to Hastings Pirates Baseball. The name was chosen to better reflect the town where we’re based. A new logo and look came with the new name, and a campaign to recruit new players to the team doubled the active roster.

In 2025, an alternate green and yellow jersey became so beloved by the team that it was the go-to for almost the whole season (the traditional blue and orange relegated to the training field). Avowed merch fans, the team kit store continue to expand.
